Services for the AgingConsultations and counseling– a meeting or series of meetings to assist individuals, couples or families in managing changes throughout the aging process. From making decisions regarding retirement to the impact of downsizing or deteriorating health on all family members, these meetings address the uniquely personal concerns such changes may evoke. Counseling services are a Medicare benefit. Care Coordination Services– Life Cycles’ staff can help you find the resources you need for the changes that illness or aging may bring. Whether staying in place in the family home or relocating to senior housing or assisted living, we can provide the information and the legwork to make those decisions more manageable–and follow through as well. These services may be particularly useful for adult children who live geographically distant from their aging parents in the Ann Arbor area. Legal Guardianship– For the elderly who are no longer able to manage the decisions of daily living, legal guardianship may be necessary. Mary Stevens is a guardian in Washtenaw County, and is training for certification by the National Guardianship Association Classes, Workshops and Groups– one time or a series of classes to inform and prepare you for life transitions.
